Findings, check these first

• Open or high resistance in the left front driver frontal airbag deployment circuit
• Shorted left front driver frontal airbag harness rubbing on a metal bracket
• Corroded or loose connector at the left front driver frontal airbag
• Failed left front driver frontal airbag inflator with an internal open or short
• Faulty driver inside the sensing and diagnostic module for that loop

Standard procedure

1. Confirm the code with a Tech2 or GDS2 and read the loop symptom byte
2. Disconnect the battery and wait at least three minutes before touching any SRS circuit
3. Inspect and reseat the left front driver frontal airbag connector and check terminal tension
4. Test the deployment circuit for opens, shorts to ground and shorts to battery
5. Replace the left front driver frontal airbag only if the circuit tests good, using a qualified SRS technician
