Findings, check these first
- Cracked or missing teeth on the wheel speed reluctor ring
- Metallic debris on the wheel speed sensor tip
- Excessive sensor air gap from a worn hub bearing
- Chafed wheel speed sensor harness near suspension travel
- Failing wheel hub bearing allowing tone ring wobble
Standard procedure
- Inspect the reluctor ring for cracks and missing teeth
- Clean debris from the sensor tip and check mounting
- Check hub bearing play; replace the hub if loose
- Scope the sensor waveform and compare all four wheels
- Repair the harness before replacing sensors or hubs
