P1514
Airflow To TP Sensor Correlation High
What it means
P1514. Airflow To TP Sensor Correlation High. This Chevy-enhanced code applies to Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Avalanche.
Findings, check these first
- Carbon-fouled throttle body causing airflow to exceed modeled throttle angle
- Contaminated mass airflow sensor over-reporting intake airflow
- Vacuum leak downstream of the throttle body on Vortec V8 engines
- Failed throttle position sensor misreporting blade angle
Standard procedure
- Clean the throttle body and MAF sensor and perform a TAC relearn before replacing parts
- Compare MAF grams-per-second against throttle angle on a Tech2/GDS2 scan tool at idle and 2500 RPM
- Smoke-test the intake for vacuum leaks skewing the airflow model
- Replace the throttle body assembly only if the correlation fault returns after cleaning and relearn
